Our client is a local New Zealand retail chain specializing in mobile phones and related accessories. In New Zealand, their eight retail stores are primarily located in major shopping centers such as Westfield. They also operate four stores across Australia, in Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne. After partnering with CHINZ Logistics, we helped them design a domestic warehouse pre-allocation model. Suppliers deliver goods to CHINZ Logistics’s Foshan warehouse in China, where products are consolidated and shipped — by sea or air — directly to Auckland, New Zealand or Australian warehouses based on each store’s demand. Goods are then distributed to each retail location the next day. This model allows the client’s inventory to stay in transit rather than sitting idle in storage, reducing costs and improving efficiency. As a result, the client was able to shut down their Auckland warehouse and cut over NZD 500,000 in annual expenses.
